We are going to the zoo zoo zoo..how about you you you

Dad is on his annual ice fishing trip. So, since he is gone and bubba is at his dad's house we decided for a last minute trip to the zoo. The weather was awesome! Loaded up the new wagon and off we went. We really didn't see much of the zoo as I let Linden out of the wagon with her big sister Saige and it didn't go very fast. I thought to myself...who cares...we are in no rush and I hate the words "hurry up" in relation to a child. Don't think I don't say them but, they are kids, they are learning why would I want to hurry that?

So, while we were at the African exhibit I hear Saige point to a woman and say..., "she's the prince of geegupt." Huh?? After asking the poor girl 1000 times what?? Because we haven't been watching the "prince of geegupt" lately I didn't understand. She saw a nun with a white habbit on her head and it reminded her of the women on the Prince of Egypt movie. Good gravy girl...I thought she was a genius right at that moment. Or she is not in a hurry and can remember things that I do not because I am.

We missed the last train by a matter of minutes...dang it. it closes at 4:30 during the week in case you wondered...geez.

All was well after a few tears and tantrums...thank you houston zoo.

Bubba wants to be a prince!

"no I don't!!" i hear from the back seat as I drive the crew home from school today. Ethan as usual delights in ruffling feathers of his sisters!

Yesterday I was in the car and I said "no (nicely)" to Saige about something....most likely a candy request. "exscuuuuuse me mommy, please do not talk to me like that!" I about fell out of the car laughing. At least she didn't yell as she usually does which keeps me a bit quieter these days!

to catch up...well not really.

Ethan is 10 and started school at The Rainard School for gifted kids. He is a different kiddo! I am so glad we made the decision to move him. He was moved up to the 5-6grade kids although there really aren't "grade levels" at this school.

So, Todd is at a friends funeral today, so sad at our house. We will miss him...although we didn't see him we knew he was in Louisiana and if we could we could. Love you penny.

Linden is 2 and Saige is a precocious 3. I am about to be a stay at home mom...Thank you God...
